Shoe Review: The ON Cloud Flow

ON have been an up and coming brand in the footwear industry. Having only been around for the last 5 years- they are fairly new compared to the classical other brands. Their shoes look different, perform biomechanically fantastically well and happen to be very light. Today’s shoe review will be the Cloud Flow, a new shoe to the range released November last year.

Upper

The upper of this shoe is seamless, this includes the tongue also. It means for less irritation spots throughout the shoe.

It also has different sized hole in the mesh to allow for great ventilation and breathability. On the foot, this shoe feels like it’s not even there and I believe it’s due to this wonderful feeling upper. Especially the sock liner adding to mid-foot feeling lockdown.

Midsole

The Cloud Flow has Zero Gravity EVA. Basically the cushioning is ultra light but responsiveness. There is an added ‘Speedboard’ which promotes a responsive toe-off and adds to the great functionality of this shoe.

Outsole

The Flow’s outsole is made of 12 Cloud pods which act as pistons driving the foot through from heel/mid foot strike to toe-off.

The black rubber on the heel also shoes great traction on the sole.

Overall the fit of this shoe is great. The heel counter holds well and is very narrow, so gives a lot of support. Running with this shoe is very easy. It’s impeccably light and allows the foot to move freely from heel to toe.
